Ava nods along with her father’s words a smile on her face. Looking down to the baby in her lap, Lea runs a hand through Penny’s hair gently. “Do you get it now, baby girl?” She asks her softly and after a moment Penny nods her head. “Baby in there?” The little girl then asks, her interest piqued as she points to Lea’s stomach. “Yeah, Lanie.” She responds softly and takes Penny’s small hand dragging it to rest on her stomach. “Right here, baby.” 

Cory smiles widely pressing a kiss to Ava’s forehead before watching Penny to gauge her reaction, smiling as her little face lit up as she ran her hand across Lea’s stomach. “In a little while you’ll be able to hear the baby kick too, and you can talk or sing to it just like me and Aves used to do for you.”

Lea’s face pales slightly at Penny’s question, she had been expecting something like it, since Ava had asked her multiple times about things like that when she had been pregnant with Penny. “The baby lives in Mama’s tummy, Lanie!” Ava exclaims with a serious nod of her head. Penny looks up to Lea with horror. “You eat the baby?” She asks and her eyes fill up with tears. 

Cory smiles thankfully at Ava before noticing the look on Penny’s face and quickly backtracking. “Oh no, sweetheart. Mommy doesn’t eat the baby! The baby grows in her tummy and then when nine months go by, the baby gets to come out and live with us, just like you did, Peanut. Isn’t that right, Avie?”

Penny keeps asking for Daddy…
